The Institute for Industrial Policy Studies is an open forum with focus on strategic industries and activities with high potential for realizing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in indus-try and innovation. IPS utilizes knowledge and technical outputs from other institutes within the Industrial Research and Consul-tancy Center (IRCC), as well as from its own research activities, to develop knowledge packages and innovative programs for decision makers to design strategies and policies essential and relevant to industrial development.
During its first phase the IPS shall include programs on value chains of strategic sectors, competitiveness policies (e.g. support for emerging industries), industrial cooperatives, and science, technology and innovation (STI) policies among others
